“Green quarter” Astana
  • Green Quarter is a pilot project in the transition to the concept of green building. The Project was presented within the framework of the EXPO-2017 International Specialized Exhibition as a visiting place. 

    The Green Quarter Project is construction of residential property, office facilities, retail real estate, social and domestic infrastructure facilities with a total area of ​​216 ths. sq.m and with the use of advanced environmental and energy-efficient technologies. The Green Quarter is situated near the Khan Shatyr shopping and entertainment center in Astana.

    The architectural concept of the Green Quarter Project was developed by British company AHR. The project has the image of the city of the future and will become a bright, stable, ultramodern, and socially united residential community in our capital. The concept provides for the use of innovative green technologies: energy-efficient lighting, comfort technologies, separate waste collection, combined extract and input ventilation with regeneration, etc. An exclusive landscape design of the adjacent territory has been created: a picturesque clean lake, a park with running tracks and bicycle lanes, a fitness club, a wellness center, children daycare center. In wintertime, the territory of the lake is planned to be used as an ice rink.

    The project consists of 10 residential and 3 commercial blocks. All project items are divided into 4 construction stages:

    •             Stage 1 –В8, В9, and В10 housing blocks. Commissioning date: 31 August 2017;

    •             Stage 2 –В1, В12, and В13 housing blocks, commissioning date: 31 August 2017 and В11 office building, commissioning date: 30 September 2017;

    •             Stage 3 –В4, В5, В6, and В7 housing blocks. Commissioning date: 31 August 2017;

    •             Stage 4 – Т4 and Т5 office buildings. Commissioning date: IV quarter of 2018.

    It is planned to certify the buildings of the Green Quarter Project for compliance with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards of the US Green Building Council.

    The total estimated cost of construction according to the conclusion of the government expert review panel KZT was 43.9 billion. The residential area of apartments will be 49,260 sq.m, the total area of commercial premises will be 76,5326 sq.m. The number of apartments in the residential complex will be 620 units.
